I have been an avid collector for
all my life and began dealing in the late 70's. In the
beginning I was primarily a scout, meaning that I searched
for items for collectors and dealers that I knew from various
sources. Later I began selling at flea markets and antique
shows. In 1999, I began selling on eBay. Not long
after that I finally opened my own shop.
When I first begain, I was mainly dealing with 1st edition
books but soon added other items. Gradually my interests
and knowledge extended to include almost anything collectible.
Now
I am a Certified Appraiser and active member of the Certified
Appraisal Guild of America. I
offer appraisal services to the legal community, estates, businesses,
and to individuals. This includes antiques, collectibles,
industrial equipment & inventories, and all personal property.
Being an antique & collectibles dealer
is just one of my "jobs". For the past ten
years I have been a web site designer and web site host. I
also handle web site marketing for a number of web sites and
do Internet Marketing with a large number of affiliate companies.
On a personal note, I have a degree in biology
with minors in chemistry and geology. For a short time
I worked as a biologist and then spent over 25 years in transportation,
mostly running trucking terminals all over the southern half
of the U.S. I am divorced and have four children, Robin, Shelley,
Traci, and Jeffrey. I
also have one beautiful granddaughter, Lindsey Elizabeth. |
